Community Bookshelf
is an online and mail order bookstore, offering a small but potent selection of books we think are the most relevant to the Fellowship for Intentional Community's constituency. We also travel to events such as the National Cohousing Conference, the Twin Oaks Communities Conference, and NASCO Institute (focused on housing cooperatives) and of course our own Art of Community Conferences!
Community Bookshelf focuses on community building of all sorts, from residential intentional community to neighborhood organizing to localization efforts. We also see cooperative group dynamics as an essential (and often overlooked) piece of all community building efforts, and thus carry titles on communication, decision making, conflict resolution and facilitation. Finally, we devote shelf space to the best books on sustainability and economics that recognize the importance of community for a healthy planet and society.
We pride ourselves on fast, reliable service, with satisfaction guaranteed. If you have any questions or comments, or know of an event that might be appropriate for Community Bookshelf to attend, please email .
A note to authors and publishers: We're always looking for new sources of information for our readers. If you have a book that you suspect might be appropriate for Community Bookshelf, please let us know! Send information, catalogs, or a copy of the book itself to: Community Bookshelf, RR1 Box 156, Rutledge, MO 63563, or contact us by email at .
