Shipping

• Shipping rates are based on USPS rates for shipping to addresses worldwide plus $1 for handling. Shipping cost depends on your location and the shipping method you choose. Estimated shipping times are as follows:

• Some items are not shipped, and there is no shipping charge: memberships, event registrations, donations.
• For Communities magazine subscriptions shipping costs are built into the product options price, and there is no additional shipping charge. Select according to your destination and desired shipping method. You should note that magazine rate mail is slower than any other class of postal mail. Always allow a few extra weeks for delivery (months outside North America), particularly for the first issue on a new or restarted subscription.

*U.S. delivery time estimates apply only to the contiguous 48 states. Please allow extra time for all mail classes to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and territories.

There is no longer any surface mail class.

Magazines mailed to outside US addresses are sent by a special mail class that may be slower than First Class International.

USPS international mail classes are new as of May 2007. Delivery times are therefore only estimates, not based on actual delivery experience.

UPS, FedEx and other shipping options are available to some shipping addresses. Please inquire at , or request in your order notes.

Single copy book orders are typically mailed in padded mailers. Multiple copies typically mail in cardboard boxes.

Customs charges may apply to your publications order if it is to be shipped outside of the United States. These differ in every country so please inquire with the post office or customs office in the country of delivery.
